Design with Voice Commands: The Power of NLP Technology
K
Kenji TanakaThe biggest barrier to design tools has always been interface complexity. Natural language processing removes that barrier: describing a product idea as if speaking to a colleague is now enough to get a technical starter package.
Voice input is a major win in field and workshop environments. An engineer with busy hands can describe a design change by voice; the system converts speech to text, and text to structured design intent.
The limit of NLP-driven design is interpreting ambiguous statements. Good systems explicitly list their assumptions and ask for user confirmation — so the question "what did the AI understand?" is never left in the dark.
